about the ruell group

My background is in construction and civil engineering, having worked on numerous sites since the age of 16 as a labourer up to a site engineer. I’ve had the pleasure to work on numerous new build sites with Barratts, to laying the foundations to Gateshead College. No two sites were the same. After an accident on the building site in 2007 at 20 years old, I was ready for my next challenge. Having my qualifications in Construction and Civil Engineering I studied Architectural Technology at Northumbria University. Gaining a first-class degree.

I started my own business in 2013 offering architectural design and planning services. In late 2014 my wife Stephanie joined the business initially to help with admin and bookkeeping before taking on a more permanent role. By 2015 Stephanie had taken over admin, submitting plans, completing planning applications and liaising with clients. Steph became the first point of contact for new and existing clients. Our main aim for our business is to give clients value for money. Designing top quality plans without the expense and really offering clients a competitive rate.

We offer plans drawn only or we can support through the whole planning application from start to finish, attend committee meetings and complete conditions set by the planning department. We also offer advice, whether it’s about building costs or value added to your home, we can offer advice and put you in touch with the relevant people to help you with your project.
